  1. Read the official Florida driver handbook, available on the FLHSMV site: flhsmv.gov.
  2. Work through practice mode one topic at a time and read the explanation for every question you miss.
  3. Then use the exam simulator and keep going until you pass it consistently.

The Class E knowledge exam covers traffic laws, safe driving and road signs. Our practice exam uses 50 questions with a 40-answer passing target. Before applying, use FLHSMV’s learner-license requirements to check your age, current driver education requirement, parent consent and identity documents. Agency and approved third-party testing options have different arrangements and charges.
